2019 Honda Civic Rear

The Honda Civic is a great choice for eco-conscious drivers in the Franklin area. Whether cruising city streets or traveling on the highway, the Honda Civic MPG ratings are sure to impress. Find out more about the Civic fuel economy in this guide from All-Star Honda.

Honda Civic MPG Ratings by Trim Level

Every Honda Civic trim level offers a winning combination of power and efficiency. Check out the Honda Civic fuel economy rating for each trim:

  • Civic LX: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic Sport: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic EX: EPA-estimated 32 mpg city/42 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic EX-L: EPA-estimated 32 mpg city/42 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic Touring: EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/38 mpg highway* rating

The Honda Civic LX and Sport models can be equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in place of the standard 6-speed manual. The CVT helps increase fuel economy to an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/38 mpg city* rating for the LX, and up to 29 mpg city/37 mpg highway* for the Sport. The EX, EX-L, and Touring come standard with the CVT.

Two Honda Civic Engines with Eco Assist System

There are two available 2019 Honda Civic engines: a 2.0L 4-cylinder and a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder. With the base 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, the Honda Civic delivers 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque. The turbo engine increases output to 174 hp and 162- to 167 lb-ft of torque. Both engines feature the Eco Assist System, which helps Kenosha drivers conserve fuel in two ways:

  1. The system tells you how fuel-efficient your driving habits are via a color-changing display around the speedometer. If the display is green, your driving habits are efficient; if it’s blue, you’re probably wasting fuel.
  2. The Eco Assist System can be had with an available ECON button, which you can push to change the Civic’s performance profile to favor fuel conservation.
